Father’s Day 2018 | A Day at the Zoo
This year for Father’s Day, I took my family to the zoo. We have been to the zoo countless times, as it is only right around the corner from our house. And it is always so much fun. Our oldest child – he is almost 4 – is finally liking animals again. He went through this stage, about 2 years, of being scared of animals. Any animal. Except for the dog we had. He might not want to touch them, but at least the sight of them doesn’t scare him anymore, so we can finally have some real fun and enjoy the zoo. He got to pet the peacocks tail (even though we weren’t supposed to, oops), and laughed at the monkeys and otters. The other child, she is only one, she slept most of the time. But I always enjoy the zoo. It never gets old to me.
I was hoping to see the tiger or lions out, because I brought my camera this time, but of course they were happily sleeping in their dens. I did manage to get a few photos of these pretty birds, though!
